COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Coldwater man was ordered to serve between 50 months and 15 years in the Michigan Department of Corrections on Monday in Branch County Circuit Court after he entered a no contest plea to a charge of second degree criminal sexual conduct back on July 23.
22-year-old Tyler Wesley Chehowski entered his plea in connection with a May 2019 incident involving a then 12-year-old girl which was investigated by Coldwater Police.
Chehowski was given credit for 252 days already served during Monday’s sentencing hearing.
The sentence handed down on Monday is on top of the 17 month to five year prison term he was handed back on August 30 after he entered a no contest plea to violating his probation.
Chehowski is serving his prison time at the Charles E. Egeler Reception & Guidance Center in Jackson.
