COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The process to donate blood has been streamlined with this week’s introduction of the Red Cross Rapid Pass online health history system. Donors can now complete pre-donation reading and health history questions online through the American Red Cross’ website of www.redcrossblood.org/rapidpass. Donors then can either print a Rapid Pass from the website, or can show it on their mobile device when they come to donate.
Red Cross officials say that this can cut the time spent at blood drives by up to 15 minutes, but add that donors are still encouraged to set up advance appointments.
The next two blood drives in Branch County are coming up on November 4 at the Coldwater Eagles and November 9h at the Quincy Union Church.
