KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — After decades of providing expert care as Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan, the organization is officially changing their brand name to Centrica Care Navigators.
The name change will take affect on Monday, November 1.
Hospice officials want the public rest assured that they are the same organization with the same leadership, and that they have not been sold, acquired or merged.
In a release, officials said that quite simply, they had outgrown their original brand name of Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan that they’ve had since 1981 because they provide much more than hospice care and wanted the flexibility to add more services in the future.
They went onto say in the release that their new name, Centrica Care Navigators, reflects their team’s expertise in guiding clients and families throughout the entire journey of serious illness and delivering tailored care centered on their needs and wishes.
The agency currently offers comprehensive hospice care, emotional counseling, spiritual support, and other services to residents in a 10 county region to include Allegan, Barry, Branch, Calhoun, Cass, Kalamazoo, St. Joseph, and Van Buren counties.
