COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Public tours for the new Branch County Jail will start next Thursday, November 4.
Branch County Sheriff John Pollack says tours will be offered throughout November but you will have to call the Sheriff’s Department ahead of time.
Pollack says one thing people will notice is the improved technology.
If you would like to take a tour, call the Sheriff’s Department at 278-2325.
Tours will take place Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays on November 4, 5, 6, 12, 13, 18, 19 and 20. There will be no tours on Veterans Day, November 11
The Sheriff’s Department asks you do not have food, drinks, cell phones or weapons with you during the tour.
After training is finished and the final touches are put on the facility, its hoped the new jail will be ready to accept inmates around the first of the year.
