BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – A major project in the City of Bronson is just about done. The Bronson City Council approved the fifth pay request from Concord Excavating on Monday night for the Ruggles/Compton Street project in the amount of over $213,000. A letter to Council members from the engineers at Prein and Newhof said all of the work to date has been completed in general conformance with the plans and specifications.
City Manager Brandon Mersman said the top course of the pavement was completed on October 28 and the construction signs have been removed. He added a punch list was also created that day with a number of smaller cleanup items. Mersman said in his report that while the project isn’t completely buttoned up yet, it is substantially complete and that the signs will be installed once the miss dig of the utilities is completed.
