COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Coalition against Domestic Violence has had very encouraging and often inspiring results in several local schools with their anti-bullying campaign and now new research from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention finds that anti-bullying laws are working. Around 20% of high school students have been bullied over the last year, which is a significant drop over the last ten years. Around 15% of high schoolers say they are bullied online.
The new study published in “JAMA Pediatrics” suggests that anti-bullying laws are having an impact on the drop. Every state in the country currently has some type of anti-bullying law.
