COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – No word yet on the cause of a garage fire early Saturday in the City of Coldwater. A neighbor spotted the smoke around 2:45 a.m. Saturday coming from the structure next to the house at 187 Grand Street. The couple living there in the home at the corner of Grand and Alden Streets was inside the residence at the time and escaped injury.
The Coldwater Fire Department had the blaze under control by 3 a.m. while firefighters were able to prevent any damage to the homes on either side of the garage whose contents included a motorcycle. The Fire Department cleared the scene and returned to station after being on the job for about an hour and a half.
