UNION TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A Tekonsha woman was killed while a Union City man was injured Tuesday afternoon in a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Union City and Girard Roads.
The Branch County Sheriff’s Office has identified the fatal victim as 51-year-old Rose A. King. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Sheriff’s Office says 50-year-old Richard L Schweikert was transported to Borgess Hospital by Lifecare Amublance.
They say King was traveling east on Girard Road while Schweikert was going north.
The collision in the intersection which was reported just before 2:50 p.m. sent both vehicles off the road on the north east corner of the intersection.
The crash remains under investigation by the Branch County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were assisted by Life Care Ambulance and the Union City Fire Department.
