COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – If you’re looking to find gasoline selling for under two dollars a gallon today, you won’t find it in the Coldwater area, but at least most stations in Branch County have prices about a nickel below the Michigan average of $2.24 a gallon. A number of stations in the Kalamazoo area are selling gas right now for several pennies under $2.00 a gallon.
Pollster Trilby Lundberg says the national average stands at $2.44/gallon. According to Lundberg, prices are expected to continue dropping with global and national demand on the decline. Last year we had to wait until the holidays to reach $2 gas. Prices are over a dollar lower than they were at this time last year.
