COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The manpower situation has improved at Branch County 911 Central Dispatch.
After being shorthanded for most of the last couple of years which forced some dispatchers to work 18 hour shifts, Branch County 911 Director Bob Swick told the County’s Communications Board on Wednesday they have hired two new dispatchers and are filling the newly created manager positions.
Swick said they had a bizarre incident with an applicant that required a Michigan State Police investigation.
The two new hires who are in training are in addition to the eight full time dispatchers who are currently on board.
When fully staffed, Branch County 911 has 11 dispatchers.
