UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – The Union City Chargers opened their boys basketball season on Wednesday night by losing at home to Olivet 59-32. The Chargers are back in action on Thursday night as they will host Mendon.

The Tekonsha Boys Basketball Thursday night home game against North Adams-Jerome and Friday’s Girls Basketball game at North Adams-Jerome have been canceled. They will be rescheduled but no date has been announced yet. North Adams-Jerome has not had school for two days because of the flu.
The Union City girls basketball game at home against Springport that was scheduled for Friday night has been postponed to February 12.
