COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater varsity boys swim team lost to Mattawan 120-53 in their season opener on Thursday night at the Doctor Robert W. Browne Aquatic Center.
Coldwater’s Drake Thornton was second in the 200 individual medley and third in the 100 butterfly while his teammate Dakota McDaniel was third in the 500 freestyle.
Coldwater continues in SMAC conference action next Thursday when they travel to Battle Creek Central.
