BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – For the second time in less than a week, Branch County is part of a Wind Advisory which has been issued by the National Weather Service.
The latest Wind Advisory will be in effect from 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening until 4:00 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
Forecasters say a deep low pressure area will track into the Upper Midwest as a fast moving cold front moves east. Windy conditions will develop Wednesday night and continue into Thursday.
Winds out of the southwest at 20 to 30 miles an hour are expected to gust up to 50 miles an hour.
The gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
This is on top of the gusty winds that took place last Saturday which caused the power to go out for nearly 1,800 Consumer’s Energy customers in Branch County. Gusts of up to 60 MPH were reported in Camden.
The Branch County Memorial Airport recorded a wind gust of 49 mph at 10:35 a.m. on Saturday.
