Carla Jo Dalton, 61 of Holly, MI and formerly of
Coldwater, passed away Monday, April 13, 2020 under hospice care while
surrounded by her loving family.
In following her wishes, cremation has taken place and
a private burial will occur at Oak Grove Cemetery. The family was cared for by
Dutcher Funeral Home.
Carla was born March 2, 1959 to Nicholas and Norma
(Cornish) Arnold in Coldwater. She was a very intelligent woman, earning a
Bachelor’s of Nursing and working with many health care providers over the
years.
Carla spent many years in Florida before returning to Michigan a few
years ago to be closer to her family.
Carla was a loving mom and grandma. She always put her
family’s needs above her own and would give her last dollar to those in need. Carla
enjoyed spending time crocheting and knitting.
She was a nature lover, who
liked animals of all types, especially small colorful birds. Carla has a sense
of adventure and spent time traveling to northern Michigan and Mackinaw.
She
will be remembered for her loving and giving spirit to go along with her great
sense of humor and ability to put a positive outlook any situation. Carla will
be missed dearly.
Carla is survived by her children Melissa McGillis of
Wesley Chapel, FL, Ashley (Rob) Sullivan of Marshall, Andrew (Amanda) Dalton of
Bryan, OH, and Sierra (Jacob) Tinglin-Maurer of Holly; her siblings Nicholas
(Jamie Fuller) Arnold of Coldwater and Erica Arnold of Bryan, OH; her
grandchildren Aaron Sigers, Jr., Caleb Sigers, Nicholas Dalton, Adeline Maurer,
Asher Sullivan, Aubrey Jones, and Mackenzie Blevins; and her great grandson
Aaron Sigers III.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Kyle
Arnold.
