COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A neighborhood in Branch County northwest of Coldwater in Girard Township is dealing with indecent exposure incidents that State Police say occurred this spring with one of the alleged perpetrators, a 77-year old man, also accused child pornography crimes. Donald Williams was arraigned Tuesday in Branch County District Court on five counts of using a computer to commit a crime and five counts of possessing child pornography. He’s being held on $100,000 bond and is due back in court for a probable cause hearing September 3, 2015.
Williams’ address is 234 Treasure Lane, near Craig Lake. Across the street is where 53-year old Jeffrey Belden lives and along with Williams, was named on a two count indecent exposure warrant. Belden was arrested June 11 and posted a $35,000 bond with the stipulation that he avoid any contact with Williams.
WWMT TV 3 reported yesterday that someone in Coldwater spotted the two having sex in their front yard on Treasure Lane and recorded it all on their cell phone camera. State Police say the incidents occurred on April 1 and May 8, 2015. Court documents, according to TV 3, show that authorities discovered 145 pictures of child pornography at Williams’ house.
Michigan State Police have not issued any news releases regarding the charges against Williams and Belden.
