Catherine “Cathy” Elizabeth Hardy, 71, of Coldwater,
formerly of Seattle, Washington, passed away Friday, June 28, 2019 at
Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 5,
2019 at Northview Christian Church in Coldwater with Pastor Jeff Bream
officiating. Visitation will take place from 10:00 until 11:00 AM prior to the
memorial service at the church. Interment will be held at a later date at
Knauss Cemetery.
The family is being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home in
Coldwater.
Cathy was born on May 3, 1948 to William and Elizabeth
(Butterfield) Cannon in Seattle, Washington. Her first marriage to William
Cates Sr. ended in divorce and she then was married to William Hardy, who
preceded her in death.
Cathy was an associate at Wal-Mart in Coldwater for over 6
years. She attended Northview Christian Church in Coldwater, was a former
member of the American Legion Auxillary in Ft. Wayne, Indiana and in Boca
Raton, Florida. She enjoyed going to the Burnside Senior Center in Coldwater,
playing Bingo, reading and she especially loved her dogs.
She is survived by her sons; William (Chanda) Cates of
Coldwater and David (Jessica) Cates of Janesville, Wisconsin, her
grandchildren; McKayla Cates, Zoey Cates, Alexander Cates, Gavin Cates and
Skylar Cates, her siblings; Michael T. (Debbie) Cannon, Mary (Greg) Batie and Patricia (Roger Darling) Cannon all of
Seattle, Washington.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother
William Cannon.
