BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – A major Michigan Department of Transportation resurfacing project in the City of Coldwater took place this summer which was part of a busy year for road work in Branch County.
U.S. 12 between Western Avenue and Michigan Avenue was resurfaced as part of a $1-point-4 million project.
The project also included sanitary sewer repairs, sidewalk ramp upgrades and pavement markings.
Another resurfacing product took place on Western Avenue and State Street.
Sauk River Drive was shut down between South Sprague and South Willowbrook Road from May until September as the road was widened and a larger water main was installed.
Another major street project took place in the City of Bronson. The Ruggles and Compton Street construction project wrapped late in 2021. It included the replacement of an aging water main along with work on sanitary and storm sewers on South Ruggles Street and on a portion of Compton Street between Mowry and South Ruggles.
