COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater swept Bronson on Monday afternoon in a non-conference bowling match at Midway Lanes.
Coldwater won the Girls Varsity meet 26 to 4. Coldwater took both regular games, 746-692 and 785-760, taking totals 1531 to 1452. Coldwater also won both Baker games, 131-106 and 156-118, taking totals 287-224. Coldwater was led by Senior Dezirae Kling with games of 172 and 176. Lily Cook had games of 157 and 170, Ema Shidler had games of 160 and 147.
Coldwater won the Varsity Boys match 28 to 2, with regular games 791 to 645, and 869 to 607, taking totals 1660 to 1252. Coldwater took both Baker games, 175 to 125 and 164 to 149, taking totals 339 to 274. The Cardinals were led by Seniors Ryan Sturgeon with games of 193 and 198 and Chance Cook with games of 172 and 187. Freshman, Vinnie Beekman chipped in with a 174 game.
The Vikings didn’t field a full JV squad, so Coldwater bowled a split squad meet. Bronson won the meet 17-13.
The Cardinals will welcome Lumen Christi to Midway Lanes on Tuesday for their first conference meet.
