COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – With crude oil settling at just over $44 per barrel Monday, gasoline prices are low and about to get lower, according to analyst Trilby Lundberg. Prices at some stations in the Coldwater area have dropped to $2.25 a gallon, and that’s only seven or eight cents more than the lowest in the state found in Northern Lower Michigan.
Lundberg says the average price in the U.S. is about $2.71 per gallon, but that is artificially high because of the very high prices in California which has been locked in a supply crisis. She says that’s over now.
