Coldwater Secretary of State branch re-opens one day after SOS said it was closed “until further notice”

COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – One day after announcing its Coldwater branch office on Vans Avenue was closed until further notice, the Michigan Secretary of State Office announced on Thursday that it had reopened.

No official explanation has been given by the Michigan Secretary of State office as to why they announced the closing on Wednesday only to reverse course 24 hours later.

Customers at the Coldwater branch were initially told on Wednesday they were being redirected to Hillsdale and Battle Creek.

There was a lot of chatter on social media platforms about the one day closing including speculation about staffing issues in the Coldwater branch.
