BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – A 20-year old Coldwater man escaped serious injury late last night in a motorcycle accident in Branch County’s Matteson Township. The crash happened around 11:30 p.m. on M-86 near Athens Road.
The first calls on the accident coming into Branch County Central Dispatch indicated there was a collision between the motorcycle and a car. It turns out there was no other vehicle involved. The biker lost control for some as yet unknown reason and the motorcycle left the road and went into a ditch. He was wearing shorts but also had his helmet on.
The man, whose name has not been released, was taken to the Community Health Center of Branch County for treatment of bruises to his hands and legs. Michigan State Police have their suspicions of what caused the accident, but for now, they’re just saying it remains under investigation.
