COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Fire Department was called out Wednesday with a report of a fire in the office at the Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility. An overheated computer prompted the alarm around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday morning and the minor blaze, which sent some smoke through a portion of the west front entrance area of the facility, was quickly extinguished by the staff.
There were no injuries and the patients at Maple Lawn were kept away from the office section of the building as firefighters set up a fan at the front doors to help clear away the bit of smoke that resulted. The fire department was on scene for less than a half an hour.
