ANN ARBOR, MI (WKZO-AM/FM) – The University of Michigan’s president is being removed from his position after allegations of an inappropriate relationship with a school employee.
The university’s board will affirm the decision February 17 to fire Mark Schlissel, but say the removal is “effective immediately. ” Former president Mary Sue Coleman will step in as Interim President.
School officials received a complaint last month against Schlissel after an investigation found he had been using his school email account for years to correspond with the employee in a “manner inconsistent with the dignity and reputation of the University.”
