Martha Anne Neihardt, 82, of Quincy passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital while surrounded by her loving family.
In following her wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of Martha’s life will happen at a later date. The family was cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.
Martha was born January 25, 1939 to Edwin and Mildred (Clark) Johnson in Griffin, GA. She spent two years in college studying business, where she met the love of her life, Stanley C. Neihardt. On November 19, 1960 they married in Battle Creek.
Martha worked at Bronson Plating, Bronson Specialties, and First National Bank in Bronson, but mainly she was a wonderful stay at home wife, mother, and grandmother. He preceded her in death on February 1, 2000.
Martha was a woman of strong faith and lived her life with being a Christian first and foremost. She was an excellent listener for all that new her as she did not judge people and was accepting of who they were. This was especially true of her children and grandchildren, who shared many conversations and secrets over the years, all without fear of having the conversation go any further. She also enjoyed watching classic movies, going to the theater, and cooking.
Martha was a member of the Bronson Child’s Study Club. She will be remembered for her selflessness, never complaining, and her generous love of family and friends. Martha will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Martha is survived by her children Tony (Wanda) Neihardt of Hamilton, OH, Cindy (Bill) King of Quincy, John Neihardt of Bronson, and Brad Neihardt of Vermillion, OH; her grandchildren Andrea (Eric) Glick, Amy (Cecil) Moore, Angie (Tori Reed) Neihardt, Aaron (Amanda) Neihardt, Christopher Neihardt, Erica (James) Knapp, Nathan Neihardt-King, Jordan Neihardt, and Farrah Bragg; her great grandchildren Cassie Glick (Ruy De Magalhaes) & Calob Glick, Jayla, Mason, & Kingston Reed, Alexis & Alex Neihardt, Kaya Knapp, Tyler & Lance Neihardt, Tyler & Abby Bragg; Xane Moore & Skyler Moore, and her great, great grandchildren Lillianna De Magalhaes, Leo & Hazel Moore.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 39 years, Stanley Neihardt; and her grandson Jeffrey Neihardt.
