BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – The former director of the agency that provides mental health assistance for Calhoun County residents is now in big trouble with the law. It’s been a few months since Erv Brinker was fired as the director of Summit Point. The agency board cited alleged conflicts making deals with vendors and other questionable management practices.
The Michigan Attorney general’s Office has now issued arrest warrants charging him with three ten-year felonies. He allegedly faces two counts of conspiracy to commit Medicaid fraud and one count of embezzlement. Arrangements are being made to turn himself in.
