BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Union City ended a three game losing streak in dramatic fashion on their home court Tuesday night.
Terrance Morgan Junior got the winning bucket with only seconds remaining as the Chargers defeated Homer 54-52 in a tightly contested Big 8 Conference boys basketball game.
The Chargers are now 6-4 overall and 3-3 in the Big 8.
Reading used a 25-6 third quarter to defeat the Bronson Vikings 61-55.
The Vikings had a 31-23 halftime lead before the Rangers turned the game around in the third quarter.
Reagan Mayer led the Vikings with 23 points and eight rebounds while Aden Hathaway added 20 points. The Vikings are now 4-7 overall and 2-4 in the Big 8.
Quincy lost at home to Concord 51-33. The Orioles were only down 23-16 at halftime but the Yellowjackets widened the gap in the third quarter and had a 36-21 lead after three quarters of play.
Also in the Big 8, Jonesville defeated Springport 65-40.
