THREE RIVERS, MI (WTVB) – Michigan State Police at the Coldwater Post say they’re investigating a suspicious death and breaking and entering in St. Joseph County. An autopsy is scheduled for today on the body of a man who was found yesterday inside a home on Buckhorn Road north of Three Rivers.
State Police believe the 45 to 55-year-old man had been dead for some time, perhaps months. Apparently it took a burglar going through a shed to prompt neighbors to call police to the address. They hadn’t seen the resident for quite a while. They hope the autopsy will not only find a cause of death, but verify the man’s identity.
