Curtis “Duane” Anderson, 90, of Quincy, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at the Laurels of Coldwater. He was born August 26, 1931, in Milan, MI to William and Mabel (Fuller) Anderson. He married Elizabeth “Betty” Chantelois on July 30, 1955, and she survives.
Duane graduated from Milan High School in 1949. He spent his entire career as a driver for Associated Truck Lines. In his spare time, he could be found tinkering in his garage, however, his greatest joy in life was being a father and grandfather.
Surviving besides his wife, Betty are four children, Suzanne (Tim) Schmidt of Plymouth, IN, Kevin “Mark” Anderson of Quincy, David (Nancy) Anderson of Gillette, WY and Linda “Teresa” From of Hillsdale; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and sister, Carol (Jason) Spires of Anderson, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Tyler Curtis From; and siblings, Juanita Vanschoick, Margaret Gomer and Calvin Anderson.
A memorial mass for Curtis “Duane” Anderson will be held Monday, February 7, 2022, at 1:00 PM at the St. Paul Catholic Chapel (8780 E. 700 N. Fremont, IN 46737). The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday from 12 Noon until the time of service. Private family burial will take place at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy.
