Ruth A. Vrooman, 83, of Coldwater passed away Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Masonville Place.
In following her wishes cremation has taken place and no formal services are planned. A private burial will take place at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. The family was cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.
Ruth was born August 27, 1938 to Russell and Esther (Steffka) Windle in Homer, MI. She was a Jonesville High School graduate. On November 4, 1961 she married Harold Vrooman in Jonesville. He preceded her in death on August 22, 2019.
Ruth was a wonderful stay at home wife and mother. She enjoyed spending time cooking, sewing, quilting, and knitting. Ruth also liked to read and do crossword puzzles. Her true joy in life was being around her family, especially her grandchildren.
Ruth is survived her children, Fred (Pam) Miller of Reading, Scott (Sherry) Miller of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Brian (Virginia) Vrooman of Kalamazoo, Vicky Koehlke of Winter Haven, FL and Karen Lotts of White Lake; her 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; her siblings Janet Caldwell of Allen, Mary Ellen (Russ) Laberteaux of Jackson, and David Windle of Jonesville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 57 years, Harold Vrooman; and her brother-in-law Pete Caldwell.
