CENTREVILLE MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A Marcellus man is accused of trying to sneak drugs into the St. Joseph County Jail on Monday morning.
St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Deputies made a routine traffic stop on the 28 year old suspect at around 2:00 a.m. Monday near the area of Broadway and Constantine Streets in Three Rivers.
After a search, deputies say they found the man had an outstanding warrant and was driving with a suspended license.
He was taken to the County Jail, where it was discovered he was allegedly trying to smuggle in narcotics.
Authorities have turned over the case to the Prosecutor’s office, where charges of possession of meth, smuggling contraband into the jail, and driving while license suspended are being sought.
