BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – On the local sports scene, last night in Mickey Mantle Summer League baseball, it was a Branch County matchup as Coldwater split a doubleheader at Bronson. In the opener, Bronson beat Coldwater 5-4. Porter Skidmore took the loss for the Redbirds and also had an RBI single. Andrew Richar added a sacrifice and 2 RBI’s.
Coldwater won the nightcap 6-4. Kameron Miller pitched a complete game 5-inning victory with a 4 hitter and 7 strikeouts. Oliver Winter had an RBI with a single and Eric Bach also had an RBI.
Coldwater’s record is now 12-3 and they play today at Battle Creek.
