COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – On the local sports scene, in Mickey Mantle Summer League baseball, Coldwater last night swept a doubleheader from Hudson 6-1 and 10-0. In the five inning opener, Collin Torrey was the winning pitcher while Eric Bach had two doubles and two RBI’s.
In the nightcap, Mitchell Duda tossed a perfect 4 inning game with six strikeouts and got plenty of early run support with the offense putting up 9 runs in the first inning. Lucas Santure had a double and single and 2 RBI’s, Sean Printke had 2 singles and 2 RBI’s and Brady Snow singled twice and scored 2 runs.
Coldwater improved their record to 9-2 and they will host Jonesville on Sunday.
