COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater showed that it can win low-scoring basketball games when they picked up a 41-31 win against Jackson Northwest in a game that was relocated to the Coach Floyd Eby Gymnasium due to water issues at the Northwest High School campus.
The game was knotted at 12-12 heading to the halftime, but the Cardinals outscored the Mounties in the second half 29-19.
Brandon Downs led all scorers with 16 points and 7 rebounds. Evan Sloan added 11 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 blocks as Coldwater improved to 13-3 overall, 10-2 in the Interstate 8. The Cardinals host Pennfield Tuesday night.
