EAST LANSING (WKZO AM/FM) – Michigan State University has announced that it will be changing the name of a building named for a member of the KKK.
The Nisbet Building was named for Stephen Nisbet for his efforts to better the state of Michigan, but investigation revealed that he was a member of the Newaygo County KKK in the 1920s.
MSU officials say that the building will temporarily be called 1407 Harrison until a permanent name can be found.
