BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Matteson Township father and son who were badly burned in a Memorial Day weekend accident in Branch County when the skid steer they were riding went up in flames are still hospitalized in Kalamazoo. However, Andy Hemker and son Wyatt, who just turned five a week ago today, are now both listed in good condition in the Bronson Burns Center. Multiple skin graft surgeries though will be part of their on-going recoveries.
A family benefit for Andy and Dianna Hemker is happening this Saturday from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Pleasant Hill Missionary Church on Pleasant Hill Road south of Bronson. All proceeds from the food, silent auction and general support will go to the family.
