COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A weekend traffic stop by Michigan State Police in Coldwater on I-69 near U.S. 12 led to the arrest of a suspect named on warrants with charges of first degree and second degree criminal sexual conduct. 30-year old Brian Eugene Ellis of Homer was arraigned Monday in Branch County District Court. His bond was set at $75,000.
The victim of the alleged offense was a minor female. State Police say the incidents happened in Butler Township earlier this year between January 1 and April 2, 2015. Ellis is due back in court for a probable cause hearing on June 16, 2015.
