LAKELAND, FL (WKZO AM/FM) – Detroit Tigers prospect pitcher Franklin Perez is in Lakeland, Florida to continue his rehab from shoulder surgery.
Perez was scheduled to pitch for High-A West Michigan last season, but underwent surgery to repair a shoulder capsule defect.
The 24-year-old has appeared in only nine games for the Tigers organization after he was acquired in 2018 from Houston as part of the Justin Verlander deal.
