BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – Few details are known at this time, but over the weekend in Branch County’s Matteson Township, a father and his young son suffered severe burns in a fire that engulfed a skid steer loader there were using on their property on Lindley Road. The Bronson Fire Department found the machine engulfed in flames in the driveway when they arrived around 3:45 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
Lifecare medics were on scene treating the two victims. The father was flown by Samaritan helicopter to the Bronson Burn Center in Kalamazoo where his 5-year old son was taken by ground ambulance.
No names were released and there’s no word on their conditions.
