WASHINGTON D.C. (WTVB) – Branch County’s representative in the U.S.House says we need to very wary of the intentions of the Iranian government as negotiations continue on a nuclear agreement. 7th District Congressman Tim Walberg also says Congress needs to have the final approval of any agreement.
Bills to require congressional review of any final nuclear agreement passed overwhelmingly in the House and Senate this week.
Walberg says the newly passed Iran Nuclear Review Act would also prevent the President from lifting any of the current sanctions against Iran. Walberg believes those sanctions are what’s causing Iran to come to the table right now.
