COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Sheriff’s Department has announced that three Corrections Deputies within the Sheriff’s Office have been promoted to Sergeants.
Brian Spaulding, Austin Nichols, and Eric Waterbury all passed the promotion test to become a Sergeant.
The Sheriff’s Department says in order to get the promotion, the Deputies had to pass a written test as well as an oral interview and an evaluation test in addition to their years of experience.
Sheriff John Pollack says this signifies a major change for the Department as they now have four Sergeants in the Corrections Department adding, “We’re looking for new ideas and excited to see them become leaders for the Sheriff’s Office.
