The Fort Wayne Philharmonic brings one of its Freimann concerts to Tibbits Opera House for an afternoon performance on April 19 as part of the Tibbits Entertainment Series.
The Phil, as it is affectionately called, is currently performing its 71st season. Its Freimann Series is the most intimate musical experience The Phil has to offer. These concerts feature small ensembles in an intimate setting. Programmed and performed by the full-time musicians of The Phil, the Freimann Series offers diverse, colorful and engaging music that is sure to inspire. Under the music direction of Andrew Constantine, The Phil’s mission is to inspire and foster a lifelong love of classical music through performance and education. The Phil is a member of the League of American Orchestras and a funded member of Arts United of Greater Fort Wayne, the Indiana Arts Commission and National Endowment for the Arts.
According to Tibbits Executive Director, Christine Delaney, the Tibbits is an exciting place to hear classical music like the Fort Wayne Phil. She says the musicians are inspired, they love the acoustics and the setting with the combination creating an atmosphere that’s fabulous for the audience.
