LANSING (WTVB) – Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan officials say that small group customer rates will go down, based on a filing slated this week with state regulators. Employers who renew during the third and fourth quarters of 2015 will be, on average, paying 3.3 percent lower for BCBSM coverage and just under a percent less for Blue Care Network coverage. The insurer added that rate changes for 2016 “look extremely favorable” due to lower than expected costs, with savings passed on in premium rates.
