COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Christians today are solemnly marking Good Friday, the traditional date when Jesus Christ was crucified outside Jerusalem. A reminder that on this Good Friday, the Branch County Courthouse is closed while offices for the City of Coldwater and the Coldwater Board of Public Utilities close today at Noon. And the stock exchanges are closed today.
The Good Friday Way of the Cross event is happening this afternoon in Bronson at 3 p.m. The dramatic reenactment of the passion of Christ through the streets of downtown Bronson begins at the Congregational Church and makes its way to the St. Mary’s of Assumption Catholic Church for a unity service.
