COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Planning Commission discussed proposed by-laws on Monday night but took no formal action.
Katie Higgs, who is the Community Economic Development Association of Michigan Community Development Fellow for the City of Coldwater, said they continue to pursue and make progress towards achieving the “Redevelopment Ready Community” (RRC) designation through the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC).
As part of this effort, they must have bylaws/Rules of Procedures adopted by all development-related boards and commissions.
She said there would be no major changes in current procedures.
The discussion centered around conflict of interests and what to do when that situation arises.
The Planning Commission eventually decided to send the proposed by-laws back to City Attorney Megan Angell for further review before they take formal action.
