GRASS LAKE, MI (WTVB) – It was a rough night for the Quincy Orioles varsity girls softball team on Thursday as they were swept in a non-conference doubleheader at Grass Lake by scores of 15-0 and 21-3.
The Orioles came away with just three hits in the first game on singles by Kailey Allman, Cemara Paul and Josie Mescher.
Grass Lake outhit Quincy 19-4 in the second game.
Quincy got doubles from Kailey Allman and Hope Medendorp as well as singles from McKynna Connin and Paul.
The Orioles are now 3-2 overall.
They will travel back to Reading Friday evening to finish their game suspended from Wednesday due to darkness. Quincy was winning 13-4 after three innings when play was stopped.
