COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater City Council has four separate items on its docket for its Monday night regular meeting intended to move the proposed Clemens Food Group pork processing plant project forward. Council will consider final approval of an application for $12.5 million in Community Block Development Grants, part of a $17 million package of public infrastructure improvements planned for the Newton Road site, along with a term sheet for the grant, a developer agreement, and the establishment of a proposed Local Finance Development Authority as part of the project financing. Also up for consideration: new water and wastewater rates for the Board of Public Utilities.
The Coldwater Board of Education will also meet in regular session Monday night.
