MICHIGAN CENTER, MI (WTVB) – In girls high school basketball, March Magic ended last night for Big 8 Conference runner-up Homer with their 69-38 loss to Ypsilanti Arbor Prep in an MHSAA Class C quarterfinal game at Michigan Center. The defeat left the Trojans with a final record of 21-5.
In Class D, a team from Hillsdale County is headed to the Breslin Center for the Final Four as undefeated Pittsford moved to 25-0 by beating St. Joseph Michigan Lutheran 50-45 in their quarterfinal contest at Harper Creek. The girls semi-finals tip-off tomorrow including Pittsford against Waterford Our Lady at 6 pm at the Breslin Center.
In the boys basketball state tournament, the Regional Finals are tonight with Hanover-Horton and Mendon among the area teams still in the hunt for a spot in next week’s quarterfinals. In the Class C Adrian Madison Regional, Hanover-Horton takes on Addison while in Class D, Mendon has a home game for their Regional final against Wyoming Tri-Unity.
