QUINCY (WTVB) – The investigation continues into Friday’s traffic accident in the Village of Quincy where two pickup trucks collided with the crash killing the driver of one of the vehicles. It happened around 7:50 a.m. yesterday on U.S. 12 near Brown Street. No names were released yesterday. One of the pick-ups was leaving the Quincy Diner when it was hit by the second truck which was westbound on U.S. 12. Quincy Police reported that after the impact, the pickup that was struck re-entered the Diner’s parking lot, striking two other vehicles, a light pole, and the east wall of the Diner. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no passengers in either vehicle and no other injuries were reported. Branch County Sheriffs Deputies assisted the Quincy Police Department in the accident re-construction and traffic on US-12 was closed with motorists detoured around the crash site for over three hours. The Quincy Fire Department, Michigan State Police, Life Care and the Branch County Road Commission also assisted Quincy Police.
