COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater High School girls soccer team was beaten by state-ranked Marshall 2-0 Thursday night in an Interstate 8 Conference match.
The Cardinals fought hard to hold Marshall to a scoreless tie at the half.
Marshall then scored both of their goals early in the second half.
Taylor Robison had 23 saves in goal for Coldwater.
Coldwater Coach Keith Johnson said, “Marshall is currently ranked fifth in the state in Division Two soccer, so I am proud of how well we did. They never stopped working.”
The Cardinals are now 7-2 overall and 1-2 in the I-8. The Coldwater J.V. team lost to Marshall 5-0.
