COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Coaliation Against Domestic and Sexual Violence will hold their annual Walk A Mile In Their Shoes event Saturday morning on South Monroe Street.
This event is unique because the entire community unites to support survivors of Domestic & Sexual Violence.
Executive Director Kim Hemker says there will be a full morning of events.
(Main events include a Pancake breakfast at the Broadway Grille, a 5K run and walk, a dog walk, and the march against domestic & sexual violence.)
There will also be children’s activities, a raffle, an auction, and awards presentations.
This will be the second year the event has been held on South Monroe after it previously took place at the Coach Eby Youth and Family Center.
The Coalition is trying to raise $694,000 so that the Branch County Child Advocacy Center can be relocated from Quincy to the Naomi Davis Shelter House grounds.
